While Apple has yet to announce a date when it will introduce the Apple iPad 5 and the Apple iPad mini 2, a video shows off the casing of what allegedly is a Space Gray colored version of the next full-sized Apple tablet. Using a "crawl" reminiscent of any Star Wars opening, we are also told to expect a version of the 9.7 inch slate dressed up in silver. It would make sense for Apple to unify its color options this year between the Apple iPhone 5s and the next iteration of the iPad. The former is now available in gold, silver and Space Gray. We haven't seen any leaks showing a gold iPad, so it would appear that silver and Space Gray will be the choices for buyers of the new iPad.
Considering that the Apple iPhone 5s and Apple iPhone 5c have just been launched last Friday, we wouldn't expect to see the two expected iPads to be introduced until sometime next month. The latest buzz around the barber shop had October 15th as a possible unveiling date.
The fifth generation iPad is expected to have taken its design cues from the Apple iPad mini with a thinner, slimmer look featuring more rounded corners, stereo speakers and a two piece volume rocker. Inside, a more powerful A7X processor will drive the slab. The sequel to the Apple iPad mini should also feature the updated silicon and a Retina display screen.
